1. ORGANIZING AUTHORITY
The Great Lakes Farr 40 Fleet is the organizing authority of the Championship
Series. The host club
of each regatta in the Championship Series will provide the race management, and
shall be the
organizing authority for their regatta. The first warning signal shall be
according to the sailing
instructions, which will be provided by the host club at each event.
2. RULES

Lakes Fleet. The current
class rules regarding the status of the owner-driver, alternate driver and

weight limits will
apply as per Class Rules modified so that weigh-in will be required once for
each crew member of a

form provided, that its
crew conforms to the class certificate weight limitations.

the helmsman and
tactician, and is not allowed to hike, assist in any maneuvers or contribute to
the performance of the
yacht while racing. This person must submit a form to the class chairman for
approval.
(The Intent of Rule 2.2 is to allow wives, boyfriends, potential buyers,
sponsors, or children to sail
on the yacht to see what it is all about. Rulings from the class chairman are
final)
2.3 Any alteration of class rules will only be approved by a majority vote of
current fleet members.
2.4 RRS 51 is modified to read: For the duration of the Great Lakes Championship
Series all moveable
ballast shall be properly stowed, and water, dead weight or ballast shall not be
